Wintergreen should be used with extreme caution since it’s approximately 99% salicylate, the main ingredient in aspirin, and can be irritating and sensitizing. Use tiny amounts in massage blends, after performing a patch test, and apply to muscles and joints. Use to reduce pain and promote relaxation.
